James A. George (’62), a partner—along with his wife, Judi—in the firm of George and George, Ltd. in Baton Rouge, was recently named in the 2009 Best Lawyers in America in the specialty of Maritime Law. He also assumed the position of Louisiana Coordinator for the American Inns of Court Foundation, and he and Judi taught a General Law Course for Lagniappe Studies Unlimited. George will also serve on the Founding Board of Opera Louisiane, and he and his wife will both serve on the Board of Directors for the Baton Rouge Symphony Orchestra.

John “Jock” Scott (’72) practices in Alexandria, Louisiana and teaches history at LSUA, where he is an assistant professor. He recently published his second book, Natalie Scott: A Magnificent Life, a biography of the celebrated writer and journalist.
