The LSU Law Center Advocacy Programs are pleased to serve as a host school for one of the regional rounds of the American Bar Association Law Student Division’s Arbitration Competition. Competitors from law schools across the country will participate in mock arbitrations at the Law Center the weekend of Nov. 16-17. The final round of the competition is open to the public, and will be held at 1:00 pm on Sunday, Nov. 17 in the Robinson Courtroom.
The ABA Law Student Division Arbitration Competition promotes greater knowledge of alternative dispute resolution techniques by simulating a realistic arbitration hearing. Participants prepare and present an arbitration case, including opening statements, witness examinations, exhibit introductions, evidentiary presentations, and summations.
