The Trial Advocacy Board will hold an intensive skills training workshop for all interested 2Ls and 3Ls on Sunday, August 25 from 1:00 to 5:00 pm at the Law Center. This workshop will be taught by Trial Advocacy Board members as well as the attorney coaches of the Law Center’s external teams, and will provide students with a foundation in trial techniques, including opening statements, closing arguments, direct and cross examinations, common objections, and more. The workshop is intended for students who plan to participate in the 2013 Opening Statement Competition, the 2013 Ira S. Flory Mock Trial Competitions, the Arbitration Competition, and/or those who plan to try out for trial advocacy external teams.
The Board will be utilizing last year’s fall Flory case file, State v. Johnny Spencer, for the workshop. Participants are encouraged to skim the case file in advance of the workshop.
Students with questions about the workshop can email the Trial Advocacy Board at email@example.com or Professor Brooks at firstname.lastname@example.org.
