Regina Kelly, inspiration for the film American Violet, will speak about her case of wrongful arrest. Kelly is a frequent speaker at colleges and other organizations across the country, educating others about her story.

Come watch the film “American Violet,” based on the events of Regina Kelly’s unlawful drug arrest and subsequent civil rights lawsuit in Texas. Ms. Kelly will be speaking earlier in the day, and will continue her discussion after the film at the evening event. This event is sponsored by PILS, LACDL, and EMLS.
