Apprenticeship Week Informational Session

There will be a general informational meeting for all students regarding the Law Center’s new intersession Apprenticeship Week program on Monday, Sept. 16 from 12:40 to 1:40 in the Auditorium.  Lunch will be provided.

The Apprenticeship Week is a new experiential skills program which will be held during the last week of the winter break (in January 2014).  Students will have the opportunity to participate in an intensive skills mini-course (for academic credit) directly targeted at a specific aspect of law practice.  These mini-courses will include such topics as “Managing the Personal Injury Case”, “ The Strategy and Drafting of Dispositive Motions”, “Negotiating and Drafting the Commercial Lease”, and “The Ins and Outs of Mid-Size Firm Practice”.  The courses will be taught by a panel of distinguished alumni practitioners from around the country, who will work closely with participating students in all-day sessions designed to provide students with concrete experience in their respective course topics.

The Apprenticeship Week program will be free for students.

Students with questions about the program may contact Prof. John Church, the Director of the Apprenticeship Week program, or Prof. Jeff Brooks, the Assistant Director of the Apprenticeship Week program.
