The Federalist Society along with Professor Baier are pleased to host LSU Law alum Kyle Duncan from the Becket Fund. Kyle joined the Becket Fund as General Counsel in January 2012, after serving as Solicitor General and appellate chief of the Louisiana Department of Justice. Previously, he taught constitutional law at the University of Mississippi School of Law, and served as an assistant solicitor general in the Texas Attorney General’s Office, under Solicitor General Greg Coleman. He also practiced appellate law with Vinson & Elkins in Houston, Texas. Kyle has argued numerous appeals in state and federal courts. In 2010, he argued the landmark case of Connick v. Thompson before the U.S. Supreme Court.
