ABA Arbitration Regional Competition

The LSU Law Center Advocacy Programs are pleased to serve as a host school for one of the regional rounds of the American Bar Association Law Student Division’s Arbitration Competition. ┬áCompetitors from law schools across the country will participate in mock arbitrations at the Law Center the weekend of Nov. 16-17. ┬áThe final round of the competition is open to the public, and will be held at 1:00 pm on Sunday, Nov. 17 in the Robinson Courtroom.

The ABA Law Student Division Arbitration Competition promotes greater knowledge of alternative dispute resolution techniques by simulating a realistic arbitration hearing. Participants prepare and present an arbitration case, including opening statements, witness examinations, exhibit introductions, evidentiary presentations, and summations.
