LC Printing

The student print center is located in the Law Library on the first floor near the elevators. Law students can print to these printers from their personal computers from the campus wireless network or from Law Center computers in the Law Library eClassroom, computer lab, or other computers around the building.

Students can add funds to their TigerCard account using the vending machine near the Law Library Reference Desk or by visiting the TigerCard office in the LSU Student Union which is a very short walk from the Law Center. Funds can also be deposited online through the TigerCard website.

Student Print Center technical assistance is available through the Law Center Computing Services Help Desk, in Room 317, by phone, 225-578-4898, or by emailing its@law.lsu.edu

Print Center Installation Instructions

Windows Vista / Windows 7 / Windows 8 / Windows 8.1

Click on the link above and login with your Law Center account. You will be prompted to run the setup program so just choose select “Run.” You may receive a security warning about installing software from an unknown publisher. Select “Run” when prompted. Click “OK” on the warning screen and then click the “Setup” button.

The installation will take a few minutes so please be patient. You will see a black command prompt window for a few minutes. When it disappears, the printer is installed in your list of printers as “Print Center” and a shortcut to the print job release page is added to your desktop. Select this printer from the print dialog in Microsoft Word, Internet Explorer, WordPerfect or any program you want to print from.

After printing, print jobs must be released from the computer they were sent from by going to the print job release page at http://lawprint1.law.lsu.edu/MyPrintJobs. Logon using your Law Center logon ID and password. This page will display your ID, your print account balance, and pending print jobs including page count and cost. If you print from one network (i.e. your home) and move your computer to another network (LSU or a coffee shop) and then try to release your print jobs, you will not be able to since your computer at the new location will not be recognized as owning any print jobs. Print jobs not released within 2 hours are automatically deleted.

This printer is referred to as LC Printing. To install LC Printing to your personal laptop, see the instructions below. These print jobs come out of the same physical printers in the library as the Print Center. However, the printer name on your computer is called LC Printing and there is a separate print job release page.
