Law Center Announces New Scholarships and Professorships

The Law Center is pleased to announce the following new scholarships and professorships that have been given during 2007:

The Judge Anthony J. and JoAnn Graphia Endowed Professorship, given in honor of the Graphias by family and friends

The Allen L. Smith, Jr. Endowed Professorship, given by Allen L. Smith (‘64)

The Wedon T. Smith Professorship in Civil Law, given by Eula Tullos Smith in memory of her husband, Wedon T. Smith (’39)

The Bernard Keith Vetter Professorship in Civil Law, given in honor of Keith Vetter (’64) by Tutta and Cyril Vetter (’72)

The Athanassios N. Yiannnopoulos Endowed Professorship, given in honor of former LSU Law Professor Yiannopoulos, by Gloria and Richard  “Jerry”  Dodson (’66)

The Cox, Cox, Filo, Camel and Wilson Endowed Scholarship, given by the Lake Charles firm (including LSU Law graduates Thomas Filo (’87), Michael K. Cox (’87), Paul J. Cox (’94), Tina Wilson (2000) and James J. Cox (’87))

The Lee Andrew Gallaspy Endowed Scholarship, given in memory of Lee Gallaspy (’82), by classmate Mark C. Schroeder (‘83)

The William David Kiesel Endowed Scholarship, given by William David Kiesel (’70)

The Thad D. Minaldi Annual Scholarship, given by Thad Minaldi (’82)

The Shirley and Allen L. Smith, Jr. Endowed Scholarship, given by Shirley and Allen L. Smith (‘64)

The John Roger Tharp Endowed Scholarship, given in memory of John Tharp (‘67) by friends, co-workers, and his wife, Mary Tharp (‘80)

The Honorable E. Gordon West Annual Scholarship, established in memory of Judge West (’42) by the U.S. District Court, the Middle District of Louisiana.
